Question 1

How long does a CandleArt candle burn?

Accepted Answer

Burn time depends on the size and shape of the candle. Thanks to 100% natural soy wax, it burns much more slowly and evenly than a comparable paraffin candle.

Question 2

Are soy candles safe around children and pets?

Accepted Answer

Soy wax burns clean, without soot or toxic fumes, which makes it a better choice for homes with children, pets or sensitivity to strong scents. Even so, never leave a burning candle unattended.

Question 3

How should I look after the wick?

Accepted Answer

Trim the wick to about 5 mm before each burn — that way the candle burns evenly, cleanly and without smoke.

Question 4

Why do some candles have a wooden wick?

Accepted Answer

A wooden wick burns with a soft, steady crackle, like a fireplace in miniature — it adds sound to the light and scent without being loud or intrusive.

Most of our candles are made from 100% natural soy wax. Part of the collection (e.g. Sandal Desire) is made from 100% natural coconut wax.

Question 11

How long does a personalised order take?

Accepted Answer

Personalised orders usually take 3–5 working days to make.

Question 12

How can I make my candle last longer?

Accepted Answer

The first time you light it, let the candle burn for at least 2 hours so the wax melts evenly to the edges — this stops a “tunnel” forming in the middle.
